Blank CDs
A CD is an optical disc that stores a digital copy of your content. The surface of the CD is typically silver. When your content is written onto a blank disc, it may take on a slight silver-green color.
You may choose to use rewritable discs which allows data to be written and erased multiple times. These are called Compact Discs, CD-RW discs. These are typically more expensive than discs that, once written, cannot be changed. It is important to note that due to differences in read devices, sometimes CD-RW media may only be usable in the drive where it was initially written.
You can also choose discs that are written once and cannot be modified. These are called CD-Rs. Once data has been written to a CD-R, it cannot be changed. These discs are most popular for making many copies of voice and music content.
CD discs hold music or audio and store up to 80 minutes of audio or 700 MB.
