The price is great, but it would be a good idea to carry small and up to 3XL so churches can get a complete set of gowns for people of all sizes. Other places sell the same gowns in all sizes but not at this great price. That said, these are very high quality baptismal gowns. Some of our older gowns from another company start to lose their water resistance and become clingy after years of use and washing and so they can’t be used to baptize people on the spot as we also do quite often. Although we haven’t had them long, I do not anticipate the same issue with these gowns. The nylon material is of a better and more durable quality than our other gowns and resists water even better as well. They are so convenient for cleanup since almost all the water stays in the baptistry. And as the description says, they provide complete modesty, even for the ladies, without need for any kind of clothes underneath. One of the big reasons we Baptists love these and this type of baptismal gowns and have used them for so many years is that they are appropriate for both men and women based on our standards of dress. The ladies at our church do not wear pants, and the culotte legs are acceptable while still protecting their modesty much better than a traditional gown with an open bottom, which unlike these also require something to wear under them and drip water everywhere. At the same time, the simple design and the legs make it so it doesn’t look or feel like a dress on the men. It’s a truly unisex garment, even for us, which is no easy feat. We love these gowns for so many reasons.

Our church decided that baptism should be made available to new Christians at the moment they make their decision for Christ. One thing that stood in the way of making that a reality for us was the prior planning involved in making sure the person being baptized has something to wear that they can get dunked in. We didn’t want people going home in soaking wet church clothes, and these wonderful baptism suits are the perfect solution to this issue. They have changed baptism for the better at our church, and they will for any church, especially those like ours who want baptism to be available at any service or gathering. There is water. Nothing is hindering them from being baptized, just as in the Bible.
